ANNOUNCE GLASTONBURY PARK STAGE
CAMDEN ROUNDHOUSE NOV 9TH
Following the announcement of their sophomore album ‘Life After’ and a sold-out February UK tour, Palace today reveal the album’s fourth single ‘Running Wild’.
The soaring track is accompanied by a stunning cinematic video directed by Daniel Alexander Harris (Fickle Friends, Nina Nesbitt) and starring Clea Martin who plays the protagonist Arden; trapped living with an oppressive guardian, the video sees her crossing the front door that had become more than just a physical barrier and stepping out into the world to make a life on her own terms.
The London-based band have also recently announced full UK and European tours for October and November this year, culminating in their biggest live show to date at Camden Roundhouse, as well as Latitude, Truck and Mad Cool Festivals this July. ‘Life After’ follows Palace’s acclaimed 2016 debut album ‘So Long Forever’ and will be released on July 12th. After demoing the tracks at their Tottenham studio The Arch, Palace turned to Catherine Marks (2018’s UK Producer of the Year; St Vincent, Wolf Alice and PJ Harvey) at Willesden’s Assault & Battery studios and Luke Smith (Foals, Slow Club) at Jump Studios in Tottenham to record the album in summer 2018.
‘Life After’ is a stunning album with a clear message; hope. Its eleven tracks are among the finest the band have produced, full of the melodic warmth and rich textures that earned them legions of fans overnight following the release of their debut EP in 2014. It is an album in equal parts about loss as well as a manual to moving on, stronger than before. Having built a dedicated live following through mesmerising shows at some of the country’s finest venues, Palace will play some of the world’s biggest festivals including a prime slot at Glastonbury this summer before their autumn tours, with live dates below and even more to be announced:
